How to Translate a Web Page to Spanish or Canadian French

This guide explains how to easily translate a web page using popular browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Safari.

Instructions by Browser

Google Chrome (Recommended)

  1. Visit the web page you want to translate.

  2. Right-click anywhere on the page (not on an image or link).

  3. Click "Translate to English" (if already in another language), or if a translation option appears automatically at the top, click "Options".

  4. Click the three dots (⋮) on the translation pop-up.

  5. Choose "Choose another language".

  6. Select Spanish or French (Canada) from the list.

  7. Click Translate.

Chrome will remember your choice for the next visit.

Microsoft Edge

  1. Go to the page you want to translate.

  2. Edge will usually detect a foreign language and offer to translate. Click "Translate" in the banner that appears.

  3. To change the language, click the "Translate to..." dropdown.

  4. Select Spanish or French (Canada).

  5. Click "Translate".

Safari (Mac / iOS)

  1. Open the webpage you want to translate.

  2. Tap the “aA” icon in the address bar.

  3. Tap "Translate Website".

  4. Choose Spanish or French (Canada) from the list.

Note: Translation may not be available on all websites or in older versions of Safari.

Tips

  • If your website has built-in language options, look for a language selector—usually found at the top or bottom of the page.

  • To permanently view certain sites in a preferred language, change your browser settings to set a default language.

  • For mobile devices, translation options are often found by tapping the browser menu (usually three dots or an "aA" icon).
